Upcoming Books!!!

There are two new books that will be coming out soon, and I’d really like to spotlight them here, since I’m very excited about these books. Both of the authors are amazing people who write amazing books, and I want to support them as much as I can.

A Letter, a Lighthouse, and a Ghost Cat by Millie Florence (Illustrated by Sarah Rainey)

Target Audience: Girls between the ages of 12–15

Ally Litchen is a Lighthouse Witch, caring for the light sprites that steer ships to safety in Vista Cove. Her only companion is a ghost cat, Flicker, and she’d prefer to keep it that way. She doesn’t need anyone else. Not anymore.

When an unexpected letter arrives from her former best friend, Ally is called on a journey through the Tanglewood where shadow nymphs and bindweed goblins lurk in the undergrowth.

As she travels back to her childhood home, Ally confronts memories that haunt her far more than any cat. And after unwillingly gaining a traveling companion—a girl her age named Madge—she must come to terms with her past, broken friendship and how it is still affecting her present.

This autumnal friendship themed story releases on September 22, 2026.

You can preorder on Amazon or Barnes and Noble. The first one hundred preorders receive an exclusive art print by the illustrator and a themed bookmark.

(Sidenote: Millie recommends having tea or apple cider while reading this book.)

Extension Squad by Rachel Scheller (Illustrated by Heather Rose)

Target Audience: Teens 14 or older

The law is simple: a life for a life, no matter the circumstances.

But society still has a use for killers. By doing the grunt work for the heroes, they can save up more time to live. It’s a vicious world of prisoners scrambling against each other, doing anything for another day to survive.

Austin’s life was never supposed to turn out that way. He was a hero in training, supposed to help people on the right side of the law. But when he finds himself thrown in with the cutthroats after killing in defense of another person, he must learn to navigate this new life while staying true to his ideals.

This thrilling book releases on September 30, 2026. It is already out in Ebook form, but the paperback collection will be released then.
